Hi there! My name is Jordan McMahon, and I am a journalist and illustrator based in Los Angeles, California. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2014 with a degree in journalism. Since then, I've worked in politics, fitness, and the nonprofit sector. From July to December of 2017 I worked as an editorial fellow for WIRED, focusing on product reviews, reporting, audio production, as well as editorial research. In January of 2018 I engineered and produced podcasts for WIRED, Vanity Fair, and Bon Appetit. From 2018-2020 I worked as an updates writer at Wirecutter (part of the New York Times), and wrote several guides, including portable vaporizers, todo list apps, monitor arms, and fanny packs.
What I'm up to now: I'm currently working at The Strategist as a writer covering technology. I write a newsletter and column, Rebooting, about how we can use technology to take better care of ourselves. I'm also doing freelance reporting and illustrations.
